The video is quite odd as Grande is seen in the donut shop kissing her boyfriend and then licking not one, but two donuts, followed by her rude comments about hating America. The singer has since issued an apology, saying that she loves America and that she's proud to be an American. She claims her words were taken out of context and turned to Twitter to apologize; especially to her fans.
But the so-called #DonutGate does not end here. Actor Rob Lowe tweeted about Ariana's apology, saying that it was lame and Susan Sarandon posted more of a sarcastic remark. Although the songstress has expressed her regret for her Anti-American comments, she still hasn't addressed her donut licking incident.
